What a difference a month can make! We never thought we’d be ordered to stay home, nor would a virus cripple the country, but here we are. I’m a positive person and I try to find peace in troubled times, and since the Corona virus has spread so close to home ( no known cases in my county) I’ve witness some pretty amazing things. Tons of people are taking up gardening for the first time, leaving Baker Creek Seed Store to close last week, they ran out of seeds! Most are cooking and baking at home, from starch too! Homes are being tended too, homesteaders are teaching outsiders, masks are being sewn and donated and the list goes on. What a wonderful light in the middle of this dark storm. Were all in this together, and the kindness I’ve read about online just makes you smile and proud to be a American!
Let’s not allow fear to be remembered from this historic event, but the fellowship of mankind, the solitude of home and family and the kindness of others while the front line cares for the sick. We WILL get through this, we WILL be strong and we WILL see the light! Praying it’s soon. Take care and enjoy your family and home!
