It’s a mad world out there when there is no toilet paper to be found, anywhere! I get the concern to be safe by stocking up on supplies, in case you must quarantine yourself but people are hoarding and that is just not cool! I’m also a huge fan washing my hands, all the time, keeping our home clean and disinfected and taking the responsibly of keeping my immune system healthy and strong. It’s just common sense!
I also believe in being prepared, having been raised by a English Mum who never knew how to drive, she had to get creative at times and make her own supplies. I’m a oilier too, and value the importance of using essential oils in my home and cleaning products. With supplies being at a all time low, it might be time to learn to make your own cleaning supplies, or some of them.
Here in my town, Lysol is flying off the shelves too so I’m turning to a homemade version that works just the same, and honestly, I probably trust it more, knowing exactly what is in it. Plus, if your essential oil supply is up to date, you probably have all the needed oils to make your own Lysol. There is a great satisfaction in knowing how to tend to your home and family in times of unrest and the unknown. Let me start you off with this easy recipe, so you will never be caught without a disinfectant spray! This too shall pass but until it does, all we can do is remain calm, be prepared and find ways to cope on our own. Stay well!

16 oz. water
5 drops lavender
10 drops lemon oil
