I think about Cher twice a year, when it’s time to mess with the time! “If I Could Turn Back Time” got my through a hard spot in my life and that song just goes with the time change so well. Why do we change the clocks in spring then again in the fall? It was intended so we would make better use of daylight, well that was when most of the employed were self sufficient farmers. These days, sadly to say, people waste a lot of time! As we age, our time becomes more valuable because we realize there is less of it so turning the clocks back or forward doesn’t’ matter to me !
I enjoy the extra daylight for most of the year, it gives me time to get out in the garden, take a walk after dinner, just be more active! After a hot summer of chores and laboring in the garden, I do look forward to the down time by turning the clocks back, it’s such a cozy season, also time to plan for more projects and gardens once the clocks get turned again.
So, I won’t complain but if you could turn back time, which do you prefer? No matter your reason, find the joy in just having the time to do what makes you happy!
