History isn’t always interesting or cool, sometimes it’s dark and depressing but no matter, it must be told and kept alive. As you know, we bought the county welfare farm aka: The Poor Farm in 2017, we live in the main house but the house where the “poor” lived is just feet away, pictured above, we call it the big house because of all the buildings on our property, this is huge. Sadly though, it sustained a fire decades ago, and the previous owner did not restore it so it’s been sitting since. It has a full basement, as does ours with cells that once held the mentally ill, prisoners, boot leggers and such. The cells have been striped of the chains that once confined the unlucky ones that had to bear the conditions and elements while the rest of the occupants upstairs had it a bit better.
When this place was built, it was built to stand forever
